Following is a detailed list of knowledge and skills that are needed to successfully perform the position of tax senior. Applicants must be CPAs and have appropriate experience with another CPA firm.
Background, experience and knowledge
should include the following:
+ 3 or more years of senior level federal and state income tax experience in the following tax practice areas:
Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies
+ Some knowledge of sales and payroll tax issues and the willingness to research these tax issues as needed
Responsibilities will include the following:
+ Preparing and reviewing income tax returns
+ Training and supervising tax and accounting professionals
+ Analyzing tax law changes and preparing internal training programs
+ Preparing income tax projections
+ Performing complex income tax research and writing internal income tax memoranda
+ Preparing complex income tax plans
+ Analyzing issues raised in government income tax correspondence and preparing responses
+ Representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities
+ Writing tax articles
The successful candidate will be proficient in the following technologies:
+ ProFx tax preparation, or similar, software
+ Engagement Solutions, or similar, software
+ RIA Checkpoint tax research software
+ CCH Intelliconnect tax research software
+ BNA tax research software
+ Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point
+ LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
