BK+L™ accounting services are designed not only to help our clients file accurate tax returns but to make sound management decisions, as well. The accounting services we provide for each client depends on her particular circumstances. For some clients it is reviewing the work of their internal accountants or bookkeepers. For others it is preparing and maintaining an entire set of books, journals and ledgers.

In most cases, we recommend that our accounting services clients outsource their payroll preparation and reporting to a payroll service such as ADP or Paychex®. However, if their payroll needs are small or infrequent, we will handle their payroll and payroll reporting needs. Additionally, we prepare sales tax and information returns, such as the 1099 form series.

We continually review the level of accounting services we are providing for our clients and, when appropriate, encourage them to become self-sufficient. As our clients grow, they may be best served by hiring a bookkeeper, accountant or controller.

In such cases our role may change from preparing and maintaining their books, journals and ledgers to reviewing the work of their in-house personnel. Depending on their needs, they may also become assurance clients. See the section on the Assurance Services that we provide.
